As featured in Wedding Ideas Magazine and on B.LOVED

The Curated Kitchen was featured in print again recently, this time in the popular Wedding Ideas magazine (as well as on our fave blog, B.LOVED). I loved working on this garden wedding shoot with a talented team led by Emily of Faux Bloom. We spent a wonderful summer’s day creating magic at the enchanting Berkshire wedding venue of Little Dower House. This gorgeous setting, with its shady branches and walled garden, was perfect for creating an intimate picnic wedding reception that included my Mediterranean-style sharing platters. It’s the perfect inspiration for anyone planning a summer wedding in England with a secret garden feel! (Roll on the good weather again!)

The tree in the stunning walled garden made an ideal focal point for the shoot, and this was where we set up the most beautiful grazing table. Isn’t it the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon? The food was integrated into the table décor, family dining style, and was very much in keeping with the relaxed garden party feel of the décor. Along with some wonderful local cheeses, the sharing platters included seasonal fruits and vegetables like strawberries, juicy figs, apples, peppery radishes and sweet apricots. There was also a selection of charcuterie and artisan loaves to keep guests’ tastebuds tingling. Gold candlestick holders, vellum menu cards, and peridot napkins completed the rustic luxe look of the tables.

The team also created a beautiful ceremony setup, with a soft, draped chiffon arch, and a bower of blush and white blooms in the branches of the ancient Catalpa tree. The ceremony chairs were draped with pink gauze and tied with a rose, and the aisle was lined with lanterns. Such a romantic place to say your vows! I also loved that the arrangements were made with artificial pink and white roses and faux botanicals, making them perfect for an eco-luxe wedding.
