It’s almost that happy time of year again, when ring selfies and sweet proposal stories start popping up on my Facebook and Instagram feeds: engagement season! Did you know that statistically over 40% of the year’s total proposals happen between December and Valentine’s Day? So I thought it was the perfect time to share this delectable curated grazing table that I created for an engagement party earlier this year. The party for fifty guests was held at the bride’s parents’ lovely home in Surrey on a gloriously sunny Easter weekend. The bride’s mother is an interior designer, so you couldn’t have asked for a more elegant setting!

An engagement party is actually a wonderful opportunity for a grazing table! It’s the first major gathering of family and friends before the wedding – an ice breaker of sorts. An engagement party often brings together people who are meeting for the first time, and you’ll want them to mix, mingle and get to know each other. Grazing tables are sociable by nature. Before you know it, your guests will be happily chatting to one another while enjoying the delicious spread, while you sit back and enjoy the party stress-free. Some of my couples have loved their engagement party grazing tables so much that they decided to have grazing as the centrepiece of their wedding catering too!

For this party, the grazing table included lots of fresh produce like juicy tomatoes on the vine, apples, strawberries, kiwi fruits, and plump blackberries. There were delicious local cheeses, cured meats, homemade quiche slices, patés and dips, smoked salmon, and a range of artisan breads and crackers. On the sweet side, there were dipped pretzels, chocolate bark, and of course my famous chocolate brownies!

Here’s what the couple had to say about working with us:
“Thank you so much for everything that you provided on Saturday. It was all simply divine, beautiful and exactly what we’d hoped for!”
